Process

How a project goes.

You know the business. We handle the design and the build. Every stage ends with something concrete for you to look at and a clear decision to make.

The scope and price are agreed in writing before design begins, so the invoice never surprises you.

  1. The brief

    Give the site a job.

Before we draw anything, we agree who the site is for, what they need to find, and the one thing a visitor should do next.

    You bring
Your business goals, existing site, available copy and imagery, and the person who will make decisions.
    We prepare
A page plan, a list of agreed connections, and a written scope. For an administered site, we also identify the content your team will edit.
    We decide together
Do the pages and visitor journeys cover what your business needs? Agree the scope before design begins.
  2. The design

    Make it look like you.

We design one direction, phone and desktop side by side, and show you before anything is built.

    You bring
Brand materials, examples of what feels right, and feedback on the proposed direction.
    We prepare
A design to review against the brief, with desktop and mobile layouts considered together. The package includes one visual direction and two revision rounds.
    We decide together
Does this feel like your business, and can visitors find their next step? Agree the design before it becomes the build.
  3. The build

    Make the design work.

We turn the agreed direction into a responsive website, with the content and connections specified in your scope.

    You bring
Approved copy and photos, plus logins for any services we’re connecting.
    We prepare
A working site to review. If content administration is included, the agreed editable content has a draft, preview and publishing workflow.
    We decide together
Try the actual journeys: find a service, open a menu, or use an agreed connection. Check both what visitors see and what your team can edit.
  4. The review

    Walk through it together.

Review the website in use, from the opening page to the final action. The brief stays the reference for what a finished site needs to do.

    You bring
Check business details and content accuracy, try the agreed tasks, and identify anything that needs attention.
    We prepare
A review of navigation, responsive layouts, connections and keyboard use against the agreed requirements, with issues recorded for follow-up.
    We decide together
You sign off, we fix anything left on the list, and we go live in the order your proposal sets out, final payment included.
  5. The handover

    Hand over the keys.

You get the keys: the code, the logins, and a page of instructions for what happens next.

    You bring
Confirm who owns the domain and provider accounts, who manages content, and how you want ongoing maintenance handled.
    We prepare
Your website’s source and configuration, account inventory, and setup and recovery instructions. With content admin, this also includes agreed content and media exports, a recorded walkthrough, and practice using your editing tools. See what you take with you
    We decide together
Confirm who looks after what from here. For 30 days, anything we built that breaks is ours to fix; your proposal sets the start date.

Before we begin.

You don’t need a finished brief to get in touch. A few notes about the business are enough to start.

What should I have ready?

What the business does, who the website should reach, and the most useful thing a visitor can do. Share any existing site, brand materials, copy or photos; we can work out the gaps together.

Have a launch date in mind?

Put your preferred timing in the inquiry, with whatever copy, photos and brand materials you already have. We’ll talk through the scope and what needs to be ready before booking.

What if the project changes?

Extra pages, visual directions, revision rounds, workflows or integrations need an agreed scope change. We talk through the effect on the work before adding anything.

Can we include motion or 3D?

Yes, when it helps tell the story. They are separately scoped, including the assets, controls, phone behaviour, reduced motion and a sensible fallback. The studies show what’s possible; it isn’t part of the base packages.

How do payment and ongoing care work?

50% at booking and 50% at agreed completion; the proposal defines completion and the launch sequence. Hosting, domain and vendor costs are billed to you directly. Optional care is $199 a month. See what care includes.

Start with a few sentences.

Tell us what the business does and who it’s for. We’ll reply with a few questions and an honest view of what the site needs.
